Vogue Café Shanghai is Condé Nast’s second branded real estate company in China and is located in the luxury shopping destination Galeries Lafayette Shanghai.
The opening follows the successful launch of Vogue Café Beijing, which opened its doors in November 2020. Both Vogue Cafés in China work under a license agreement with Beijing Sycamore Seed Advertising & Media Co Ltd.
The new 300 m² store has two dining rooms and a cocktail bar, which offers modern Mediterranean cuisine with Asian influences all day long, as well as Vogue afternoon tea and a take-away menu. The café is decorated with iconic images from Vogue editions and the walls display exclusive video content captured by the new editor-in-chief of Vogue China, Margaret Zhang.
Markus Grindel, Managing Director, Global Brand Licensing, Condé Nast, commented: “We are very pleased to expand our partnership with Beijing Sycamore Seed Advertising & Media Co Ltd and to open our second café company in China’s fashion capital Shanghai. Our restaurant ventures are designed to offer consumers a unique luxury experience as a physical extension of our world-leading media brands. ”
