SAN MATEO, CA – Fall is in the air, bringing Halloween haunted spots, pumpkin fields, tricks and treats, Día de los Muertos, community festivals, and harvest / holiday boutiques.

SEPT. 17-OCT. 31: ABC Pumpkin Patch – Inflatables & Games. Entry to the patch is free; Activities extra.



OCT. 29: Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat. Register online.



OCT. 9: 8th annual Community Fall Festival. Pumpkin patches, trick or treating and more with Via Services.

OCT. 29: ‘Monster Mash’ Halloween Bash. Registration is in progress.



SEPT. 18-19: SOL Festival on Santa Cruz Mountain. Two day music festival in the Santa Cruz Mountains at Roaring Camp Meadows.

OCT. 2-31: Thanksgiving Day & Halloween Fun: Roaring Camp Railroads. With pumpkins, scarecrow crafts, train travel and more.



OCT. 30: Halloween Festival. Designed for the little ones, from preschool to fifth grade.



SEPT. 4-OCT. 31: Pumpkins, hay carts, petting zoo & haunted house: Lemos Farm. Scary and non-scary haunted house options.

OCT. 1-31: Arata Pumpkin Farm, Labyrinth Howling Maze, Haunted Barn & Petting Zoo. Don’t miss the stunning, “world-famous” two-acre howling maze of the Minotaur Labyrinth.

OCT. 16: HMB Pumpkin MiniFest. The extravagance has been reduced, but returns in mini form with fun for everyone! (UPDATE: CANCELED)

OCT. 16: Annual Senior Coastsiders Pumpkin Run. This year personally and virtually with 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and children’s races.

OCT. 23-24: HMB Fall Antiques Show & Sale. A portion of the entrance fee goes to the Sweet Farm Foundation animal rescue.



OCT. 21-23: ‘Hallow-Window Painting’ for individuals and families. Gather the gang together and get creative!



OCT. 18-NOV. 1: “Guess the weight of the pumpkin” – Estimate the weight of the giant pumpkin for the chance of prizes.

OCT. 29: Halloween family movie night: Purissima Park. “Bring a blanket, flashlight, deck chair and laze under the stars.”



OCT. 3: Christmas market at the Allied Arts Guild. Get a head start on Christmas shopping!

OCT. 13: Mystery Readers Group: Ghostly Mysteries. Online via library. Newcomers welcome.

OCT. 29: Dia de los Muertos & Frida Kahlo festival. Places are limited & tickets are on sale in advance.



SEPT. 18: Mid-Autumn Festival. With live music, food, vendors & karaoke.

OCT. 17: Halloween Carnival & Costume Contest for Children. Planned from 10 years.

OCT. 29: Halloween drive-in theater. The pre-registration opens on October 15th.



SEPT. 18: Harvest History Festival: Heritage Park. The morning includes fun and art projects for kids, live music, and more.

OCT. 30: Halloween ‘Monster Bash’: Rengstorff Park. A costume party with music, a winding maze, games and a Day of Dead homage.



SEPT. 25-26: Fog festival on the Pacific coast. Cancelled.



SEPT. 24-26: Paly Theaters “Something Wicked This Way Comes”. Outdoors and interactive with fools, ghouls, witches and fairies.

OCT. 2-3: Annual Great Glass Pumpkin Patch: Art Center. A patch with thousands of handcrafted glass pumpkins.

OCT. 22: Ives Collective Autumn Concert. A live performance.

OCT. 23: The great pumpkin hunt: Gamble Garden. Includes scavenger hunt, games, prizes and free ice cream!



SEPT. 24-OCT. 31: Webb Ranch Pumpkin Patch, Haunted House & Mini Corn Maze. Weekend fun with a petting zoo and tractor rides on this family-run farm.



OCT. 8-NOV. 21: Italian family circus Zoppé. The autumn tradition returns.

OCT. 22: Deadline for the Halloween home decoration competition. Out-boo your neighbor!

OCT. 23: Halloween biscuit and cupcake decorating class. Make Halloween masterpieces to take away.

OCT. 24: Halloween on the library square. For pre-K up to class 3.



SEPT. 24-OCT. 31: ABC Pumpkin Patch & Inflatables. Paintball range & games, too.

OCT. 28: Halloween ‘Jinxed Joyride’: Tanforan. Creepy good time! Reservation required.

OCT. 14-24: Guardsman Pumpkin Field: Fort Mason. Family fun events, cocktails & food for a good cause.

OCT. 30: ‘Dinner Detective’s Halloween Show: Le Meridien Hotel. “Solve a hilarious mystery while enjoying a fantastic dinner.”



SEPT. 10-OCT. 31: Winchester Mystery House All Hallows’ Eve Tours. “Paranormal Investigation Adventure” Spook!

OCT. 15-31: Grimms Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow theme. Wicked Woods is not recommended for teenagers.

OCT. 16-31: Dead Time Dreams Haunt. If you dare, stroll through the ultimate horror zone.

OCT. 16: Fall Festival & Pick-A-Pumpkin Patch. Includes games, crafts, and bouncy castles.

NOV. 12-14: Art and craft exhibition for Thanksgiving Day: Exhibition grounds. Hundreds of artisans with handmade crafts, jewelry, specialties, glass and more.



SEPT. 24-OCT. 31: Halloween Haunt: California’s Great America. “Killer Clown Town, Tooth Fairy and Backwoods return in all their terrifying glory.”

SEPT. 25-OCT. 31: Great Pumpkin Festival: California’s Great America. Sweet fun with the peanuts gear.



OCT. 23: ‘The big pumpkin’ festival. With a pumpkin patch, games and food.

NOV. 6: Annual vacation boutique. Get a jump on Christmas shopping.
