Summer Restaurant Week is celebrating a strong comeback with meal discounts

Although the pandemic sadly dwarfed Baltimore Restaurant Week last summer– Due to the Mayor’s restrictions, only outdoor dining, takeaway and delivery allowed – the 10-day promotion is in full swing again for 2021. As capacity limits have been lifted, more than 50 locations across the city are putting together special fixed-price menus that are available for both indoor and outdoor sales.

Reserve this year to enjoy lunch and brunch menus for $ 10, 15, or 20, and dinner for $ 25, 35, or 45 with plant-based meals from July 23 through August 1, so the weighing of all choices can be overwhelming we have put together a few suggestions to help you get started:

Brunch: Alexander’s tavern
Those who want to start Restaurant Week in style with a boozy brunch have come to the right place at Fells Point. For $ 19, enjoy a two-course brunch that includes items like a bagel breakfast salad, fruity pebble pancakes, and a vegan sausage panini. The tavern’s promotion also includes a two-course lunch for $ 19 and a three-course dinner for $ 27.

Having lunch: Limoncello
Take a trip to the sunny Almafi Coast (via Locust Point) with a two-course lunch for $ 20 at this Italian restaurant and wine bar. With dishes like fresh Italian bread, mozzarella, prosciutto and squid noodles, it becomes difficult to choose just one dish for each course. If you return for dinner this week, they will be offered a three course meal for $ 45.

Outdoor dining: Cindy Lou’s fish house
This foreman wolf at Harbor Point is celebrating its first ever Summer Restaurant Week and has breathtaking views of the waterfront. Take a seat on the spacious terrace and enjoy the restaurant’s three-course menu for $ 40. Seasonal dishes include a summer pumpkin soup, roasted green tomatoes, pork chop with grilled peaches, and a classic roast chicken with braised vegetables and buttermilk biscuit.

New position: Liora
Renowned Chef Matthew Kenney’s plant-based restaurant recently made its debut on the first floor of the downtown 414 Light Street building. The restaurant specializes in seasonal vegan cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients and offers a three-course meal for $ 45. Try the Baltimore-inspired crab cake with tartar sauce and Old Bay, plus cacio e pepe with seaweed noodles and a smoky maitake mushroom with cheese groats.

Community-oriented kitchen: Dovecote cafe
Dovecote is defined as a haven for pigeons and pigeons – and that sense of community is what this Reservoir Hill café evokes. Restaurant week will be no exception. Throughout the week, the Dovecote team hosts events such as a Live performance brunch with Bobbi Rush & Friends on July 25th (tickets include an appetizer, pastries and drinks), a special Taco Tuesday on July 27th and a Three course dinner with Chef Catina Smith on July 28th. Smith’s delicious menu will highlight Chana with cucumber salad and chutneys, and black rice porridge with white fish and garlic chips.

Mediterranean food: Café Fili
This bright mountain Café Vernon is prepared to whisk your taste buds to the Mediterranean region with options like fattoush, lamb shawarma, gyros, and baba ghanouj. Satisfy your cravings with a two-course lunch for $ 15.

Sicilian dinner: Cosima
Visit this historic restaurant in Hampden that has been converted into a mill delizioso Enjoy the meal. Pair a nice glass of vino with a $ 45 Sicilian three-course dinner – with choices like risotto di Verdua and caponata. Don’t forget the dessert for the third course with a rich tiramisu, Italian custard and summer fruit sorbet.

Comfort food: Next Phaze Café
Are you looking for food to soothe your soul? Check out the Next Phaze Cafe, which has been one of the most popular cafes since it opened on Lexington Street in 2017. Order takeaway food, have it delivered via DoorDash, GrubHub, or Uber Eats, or settle into a New Orleans-style catfish platter, heavenly bayou pasta, or crispy fried shrimp in the lounge.

Chesapeake Fare: Gertrude’s Chesapeake kitchen
After spending the day at the Baltimore Museum of Art, refuel with local Chesapeake cuisine at Gertrude’s. For Restaurant Week, the menu includes seared Maryland chicken, crab cake, Gulf prawns, and an upside down Baltimore peach cake. The three course meal starts at $ 30.
