Mid-century modern is a much-admired architectural style and American design movement that emerged after World War II. Some of the best-known and best-preserved examples are in Palm Springs, in the Southern California desert, where architectural and cultural photographers, including Slim Aarons, have created their most iconic works.
Properties are typically single-story with a flat roof and a minimalist aesthetic, focusing on clean lines and indoor/outdoor integration.
Mid-century modern interiors can be seen in the photographs of Aarons, who was fond of photographing celebrities and socialites in glamorous estates in the 1970s.

Interiors are light-filled and spacious with full-height glass, high ceilings, Brazilian marble and wood detailing in the kitchen, and Italian terrazzo tiles in the bathrooms.
There’s also plenty of space for entertaining with a solar-heated pool and spa, as well as a landscaped decking area with a wood-burning fireplace. And of course, a soaring palm tree.
